Taryn Staples,
LICSW
Psychotherapist & Owner
(she/ her/ hers)
You deserve to have the energy and confidence to live the life that excites you to wake up every morning! My ideal client is someone that is motivated to work on personal growth and rediscovering themselves. I am dedicated to helping you through mental health, family, relationships, and parenting difficulties with patience, and empathy. My goal is to guide you to “your best self.”
My approach is personalized to you and your needs using self-reflection, and acceptance. I believe in using action over avoidance and I will help guide you through this using your strengths in order to overcome stressors and worry. I recognize how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that may impact their well-being including physical health, relationships/support systems, community and culture. I am currently practicing telehealth in NH with 12 years of experience in the social work field. I have worked in various settings including residential facilities, community mental health, healthcare, and crisis intervention.
I understand how fitting in time to meet with a therapist may be difficult, so I am available in the evenings for appointments.
I also offer NH Clinical Supervision towards licensure.

Therapy can provide an opportunity for self-discovery, a safe space to process difficult thoughts, emotions and experiences thus creating a life that aligns with one's goals and values. If you or your child is struggling with challenges related to stress, anxiety, depression and/or low self-esteem leading to overall dissatisfaction in personal relationships and life, it might be time to reach out and ask for help (and that is often the hardest part!). Willingness to collaborate with your therapist is essential and we will begin with building a positive therapeutic rapport; together we will tackle the other hard stuff.
There is no singular therapeutic approach that works for everyone. Therefore, my clinical philosophy focuses on the individual as a whole with the application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention Therapy, Mindfulness-Based techniques, Family Systems, Positive Psychology, Person-Centered and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I meet each client at their individual starting point, and if they are unsure of where to start we will discover that together! A positive-therapeutic rapport is essential for successful therapy treatment and is created by fostering a non-judgmental, warm and empathetic environment. Humor and laughter is encouraged!
